I recently got back from Manchester, and the trip felt like a journey home in more ways than one. I spent quality time with my grandmother—her stories, her home, and that familiar warmth reminded me of the moments that make family so special. Reconnecting with my cousins deepened my appreciation for the shared roots that connect us.
Walking in the footsteps of my great-great-grandparents, I felt a real connection to where I come from, realizing how deeply our environment shapes our story.

I also learned more about how my father grew up, hearing the small details that defined his childhood. Experiencing firsthand where so many of our traditions come from, I was struck by how every custom carries meaning.
While in Manchester, I embraced local English traditions—from enjoying a proper cup of tea to walking through streets. In these moments, I saw design at work—not just in modern art and architecture, but in the way a city preserves its heritage. For me, design isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a powerful way to capture memories, honor the past, and inspire the future.

This trip showed me that every building, every street, and every custom carries a piece of our history, influencing how we live and create today.
I left feeling inspired and more connected to my roots, with a fresh perspective on how design can celebrate both tradition and innovation. This trip was a beautiful reminder that our past is always with us, guiding our creative journey forward.
